Terms of Use

1. Application and acceptance

These Terms apply to everyone who uses kitto works (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

If a tool or page displays terms that differ from these Terms, the terms displayed for that tool or page will take precedence.

2. What the Site provides

The Site provides utility tools that can be used without registration, together with instructions, explanations of calculations or conversions, and related information.

Features, supported languages, processing methods, and availability may vary by tool.

3. Data you enter

As a general rule, each tool processes input in your browser. If a tool uses a server or external API, the tool page will explain what is sent and why.

You are responsible for confirming that you have the right to process the data you enter. Before handling confidential information or another person’s personal information, review the processing method shown for that tool.

4. Prohibited conduct

You must not do any of the following when using the Site:

• Violate applicable law or public order
• Infringe another person’s rights, interests, privacy, or intellectual property
• Interfere with the operation or security of the Site or another person’s use of it
• Attempt unauthorized access, exploit vulnerabilities, transmit malware, or engage in similar conduct
• Use automated access that places an excessive load on the Site, except ordinary search-engine crawling
• Use a tool to facilitate crime, fraud, or harm to another person

5. Intellectual property

Rights in the text, design, trademarks, images, software, and other content on the Site belong to the operator or their respective owners. Except as permitted by law, you may not reproduce, republish, sell, or redistribute that content without permission.

To the extent that no third-party rights are infringed, you retain any rights you have in data you enter and in results generated from that data.

6. Tool results and professional decisions

We work to keep the Site accurate, but tool results and published information are not a substitute for legal, tax, accounting, medical, investment, or other professional advice.

Before relying on a result for an important decision, filing, contract, or transaction, check the relevant primary source and consult a qualified professional when appropriate.

7. External services, advertising, and affiliate links

The Site may contain links to external sites, advertising, or affiliate links. The destination’s own terms and privacy policy apply to its content, products, services, and handling of personal information.

A link or advertisement does not mean that the operator guarantees its content. The operator may receive compensation if you apply for or purchase something through an affiliate link.

8. Changes, suspension, and discontinuation

The operator may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Site for maintenance, security, changes in law, or other reasonable reasons. When practicable, advance notice will be posted on the Site.

9. Scope of warranties

The Site is provided as is. Although the operator takes reasonable steps to maintain quality, to the extent permitted by law the operator does not warrant uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors, fitness for a particular purpose, or identical results in every third-party environment.

10. Scope of liability

The operator is not responsible for loss caused by events that are not attributable to the operator.

Where the operator is liable, the operator will not, to the extent permitted by law, be liable for unforeseeable special, indirect, or consequential loss or lost profits. This limitation does not apply to intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the operator, or where applicable law does not permit the limitation.

11. Changes to these Terms

The operator may amend these Terms in accordance with applicable law after considering the need for and reasonableness of the change. Material changes will be announced on this page or by another appropriate method, together with the effective date.

12. Governing law, jurisdiction, and language

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes relating to the Site will be resolved by a court in Japan that has jurisdiction under applicable law.

If the Japanese version of these Terms differs from a translation, the Japanese version will prevail unless applicable law requires otherwise.
