      This tool includes over 210 emoji across 9 categories: Smileys & Emotion, Gestures & Body, Animals, Food & Drink, Activities, Travel & Places, Objects, Symbols & Hearts, and Nature & Weather. The full Unicode emoji set has grown past 3,800 characters, but including all of them would make search results too noisy to be useful — so this tool curates the ones commonly used in everyday chat and social posts, matching the approach used by most popular emoji picker sites. Flag emoji are not included in this scope, since there are hundreds of them and they see comparatively low everyday use.

      How search works

      Search is case-insensitive, trims leading/trailing whitespace, and matches by substring. Keywords are provided in both English (e.g. "happy") and Japanese (e.g. "嬉しい") so the same emoji comes up regardless of which language you search in. You can combine a keyword search with a category filter.

      About "Recently used"

      Every time you copy an emoji, it's automatically added to "Recently used" (up to 24 items, stored in your browser's localStorage). This history is never transmitted anywhere and stays only on your device. Use "Clear history" to remove it at any time.

      FAQ

      Is my search term or copied emoji sent anywhere?

      No. Searching, copying, and saving your recent history all happen entirely inside your browser. Nothing is transmitted to a server.

      Can I search in both English and Japanese?

      Yes. For example, both "happy" and "嬉しい" return the same emoji. Category names (e.g. "animal" or "動物") work as search terms too.

      How many emoji are included in total?

      Over 210, across 9 categories. The full Unicode emoji set has more than 3,800 characters, but this tool curates the ones commonly used day to day. Flag emoji are not included in this version.

      Where is my "Recently used" list stored?

      It's stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and never sent anywhere. It isn't shared across devices or browsers, and you can remove it any time with "Clear history".

      Does this work on mobile?

      Yes, it works on any device with a browser — phone, tablet, or desktop. Copied emoji paste directly into messaging apps, social media, or anywhere else you need them.
