    What's included

    This tool includes 75 kaomoji organized into 12 categories: happy, sad, angry, shy, surprised, love, thanks, sorry, shrug, sleepy, animal, and cheer. Each entry was chosen after researching existing kaomoji directories to include the ones most commonly used in each category.

    How search works

    Search is case-insensitive and matches on any part of the keyword after trimming leading/trailing spaces. Each kaomoji has both English and Japanese keywords attached, so searching "happy" or "嬉しい" (Japanese for "happy") returns the same set of matches. Search can be combined with the category filter.

    About the "build from parts" feature

    This tool does not let you compose a kaomoji from individual parts (eyes, mouth, arms, etc.). Instead, you search a curated set of ready-made kaomoji and copy the one you want. Most of the existing kaomoji directories researched for this tool work the same way.

    About the collection size

    Large kaomoji directory sites often list hundreds or even tens of thousands of entries. This tool intentionally keeps a curated set of 75 well-known ones. If you can't find a specific kaomoji you're looking for, that's a known limitation of this smaller, curated collection.

    Are my search terms or copied kaomoji sent anywhere?

    No. Searching and copying both happen entirely in your browser, and nothing is transmitted to a server.

    Can I build my own kaomoji from individual parts?

    No, this tool works by searching a curated set of ready-made kaomoji and copying the one you want. A part-by-part builder isn't available right now.

    Can I search in both English and Japanese?

    Yes. For example, searching "happy" or "嬉しい" (the Japanese word for "happy") returns the same category of kaomoji.

    Does this work on mobile?

    Yes, it works on any device with a modern browser — phone, tablet, or desktop. Copied kaomoji can be pasted straight into messaging apps or social media.

    Some kaomoji don't display correctly. Why?

    Some kaomoji use special symbols or emoji that may not render correctly with every font or device. The copy itself always uses the correct character sequence, so it should display properly once pasted into the destination app.
